Hybrid: Regius/Otiosus

These little ones come from two different species lines, creating a unique mix of traits you won’t find in standard pairings. Because of that, appearance, size, and temperament can vary more than usual - that’s part of what makes them so special.

They are a cross between Phidippus regius (mom) and Phidippus otiosus (dad), originally sourced from another breeder we’ve obtained them from. This pairing creates a unique mix of traits you won’t find in standard lines.

Please note that future coloring and patterning are less predictable with hybrids. Each one is truly one of a kind.

Captive-Bred Jumping Spider for Adoption

• Species: Hybrid - Phidippus Regius & Phidippus Otiosus 

• Sex: Unsexed - look female but not confirmed

• Parents: Mom - Regius/Dad - Otiosus

• Origin: Captive bred

• Instar: i6 to i8

• Phase/Variation: Regius/Otiosus

• Diet: Mini Mealworms/Fruit flies

• Watering: Light misting once daily

• Enclosure Recommendations:

  • Slings/Juveniles: Tiny House 3”x3”x3”

  • Smaller species: Tiny Villa 3”x3”x6”

  • Sub-adult/Adult: Tiny Adobe 4”x4”x6”
