Tracking Emerge to Mature
How we follow our babies’ growth milestones.

Emerge Dates
The emerge date is based on the week we first start seeing spiderlings leave the sac. Not all babies emerge at the same time — some take a little longer to make their debut — so the listed date is meant as a timeframe, not a precise day.
Molt Dates
We do not track individual molt dates for every single spider — that would be impossible with hundreds of little molts happening constantly! If we happen to catch a molt during feeding or daily checks, we’ll mark that container to reflect it. That gives us a solid estimate of when it happened but not the exact day.
We track molts mainly to keep up with how many times they’ve molted, which helps us provide the most accurate instar information possible.
Mature Dates
We always document mature molts, as this is a key milestone. The mature date reflects the time we notice the molt, which can be the day of or any time that week during routine feedings and checks.
Our Promise
While we can’t pinpoint every molt down to the exact day, we work hard to keep information as accurate and up to date as possible. We believe in being transparent about our process, so adopters always know exactly what those dates and labels mean.
How We Track Instars, Molts & Milestone
Here at Tiny Webbers, we do our best to keep careful, transparent records on every little jumper that hatches under our care. Each spiderling’s container is labeled with their instar, emerge date, mom, sex, and species so adopters know exactly where their tiny friend is in their journey.
