About us
Tiny Webbers, was established as a result of an impromptu decision. While researching feeders for my pet jumping spiders, I stumbled upon a desperate plea for help in the online arachnid community. A single mother with a young child, having been abandoned, was left in the care of a gravid Regius, whose clutch of eggs was beginning to hatch. Being an advocate for the underdog and having relatable past experiences as a single parent (though without spiders involved), I felt compelled to lend my support. Consequently, within two hours, we found ourselves in possession of numerous baby spiders.
Raising jumpers has been an amazing experience that has given me a whole new level of respect and love for these little creatures. Contrary to popular belief, spiders possess remarkable characteristics that are often overlooked. I believe fear stems from a lack of understanding, and spiders serve as a prime example of this misconception. Our passion for jumpers lies in nurturing these amazing tiny webbers and sharing our knowledge with others about their fascinating world. We believe that spiders play an important role in our ecosystem and are often misunderstood. Through education and conservation efforts, we hope to change the negative perceptions some people have about spiders and highlight the important work they do in maintaining a balance in nature. Whether it's through workshops, presentations, or hands-on experiences, we strive to inspire a newfound appreciation for these tiny web-spinners and encourage others to join us in protecting and preserving their natural habitats. Our unwavering commitment is to make a positive impact on society, even if it is in a limited capacit.
At Tiny Webbers, we take great pride in the exceptional care we provide to our jumping spiders. From the cultivation of springtails for bioactive enclosures to the meticulous handcrafting of one-of-a-kind jumper hides, every aspect of our operation is conducted in-house. Our unwavering commitment is to create well-crafted and captivating environments that minimize ongoing maintenance and eliminate unnecessary concerns. To achieve this, we utilize materials and techniques that ensure our enclosures are water and mold-resistant without the need for harsh chemical sealant.
